About St Francis Links

St Francis Links is a luxury golf estate situated in the picturesque seaside village of St Francis Bay in the Eastern Cape. St Francis Links boasts an 18-hole Jack Nicklaus signature designed golf course, as well as a beautiful thatched clubhouse which has now become the destination venue of choice for weddings along this Eastern Cape coastline. The estate and dedicated wedding team at the Links offer a fully equipped venue for ceremonies and receptions (in the restaurant or under the custom-made freeform marquee) overlooking the village and ocean!

Weddings and Functions

We cater for up to 180 guests with an executive chef on hand to consult with about menu choices. The clubhouse also has a spa for bridal treatments and make-up. The St Francis Links wedding team offer brides from all over the world comfort in the knowledge that their wishes are being carried out. It is for this reason that many brides who live elsewhere in South Africa and even in other countries, have chosen the Links to celebrate their special day … with a very competent team who handle your wedding as if it were their own, you know everything will run perfectly!

Part of the success of the weddings at the Links is that family and friends gather for a whole weekend and not just for an evening. The estate has available more than 50 rooms in the form of self-catering homes or bed & breakfast accommodation. Many of our brides book a full house for the days leading up to the wedding and enjoys time with her bridesmaids or friends. Of course, the groom and groomsmen often rent a house as well! Braai's can be arranged at the homes or even a brunch on the morning following the wedding or you can enjoy catering for yourselves. The homes are all new and come fully equipped with everything you might need.

On the day of the wedding (or a few days prior), wedding guests may enjoy a round of golf at St Francis Links which has now been ranked in the top 10 best courses in South Africa! Special greenfee rates are available for wedding guests and the dedicated golf co-ordinator will also arrange a fun competition for the wedding golfers, with prize giving following!

At the opening of St Francis Links in 2006, Liezl the operations manager was asked by a member whether her daughter could be married at the Links. Having been involved in event planning for many years, Liezl looked at her team and said: “Team, let's do weddings!” That day, St Francis Links became not only the best New Golf Course, but also a sought-after destination wedding venue in South Africa.

St Francis Links has now hosted almost 80 weddings and the team is very hands-on! Every detail is taken care of, with recommended and very professional service providers to support Liezl and her team. Brides and grooms can relax and enjoy an exciting, no-stress wedding experience. Conferences

Organizing a conference is never easy. So give your problems to St Francis Links and we'll take care of the rest. St Francis Links offers an excellent conference facility, set in the clubhouse overlooking the beautiful Jack Nicklaus designed golf course. The multi functional, fully air conditioned conference room is available for use by companies or individuals for meetings, team building sessions, training, product launches or any other business services.

Various room configurations will allow up to 120 delegates in a class room style set-up. Other room configurations are also available as mentioned above. St Francis Links is also the perfect venue for small banqueting events such as weddings, catering for up to 180 people. See our wedding page for more info.
