About Stonebreaker Country Lodge
The name "Stonebreaker" originates from a Stone Breaker Machine (England), which was used until 1962 at the quarry on this property.
Stonebreaker Country Lodge was built in 1997 consisting of thatched buildings to blend in with nature. We will give you personal attention and unique Klein Karoo hospitality.
Stonebreaker Country Lodge offers guest house accommodation in Oudtshoorn with modern conveniences, elegantly furnished en suite rooms with an African ambiance to make you really feel at home and comfortable.
Accommodation
Stonebreaker Country Lodge guests are accommodated in modern thatched chalets with eleven luxurious, big en-suite rooms.
Our charming honeymoon suite promises you a special unforgettable experience. Privacy is ensured - the units are at least 15 metres from the main complex and have covered porches with uninterrupted views of the majestic Poort and beautiful surrounding gardens.
Double, single and Family Rooms are fitted with a large glass shower. Three of the double rooms also have a bath. Rooms are all provided with DStv, air-conditioning, hair drier, shampoo and soap as well as tea and coffee making facilities.
Swimming towels are provided for the hot summer days while warm winter blankets are to be found at your convenience in room cupboard as well as soft cushions to be used for outside chairs.

The lodge has a swimming pool, dining room, parking and gardens. Listen to the peaceful murmur of the nearby river while you relax in the sparkling swimming pool with unspoilt views of the surrounding mountains and star-studded skies at night.
Attractions
Guests can enjoy a half hour route down the lodge registered succulent trail heading up the Mountains with spectacular views of the lodge and its surroundings. Be sure to pack those climbing shoes for the journey as the Mountains can be very steep and slippery.
Don't be surprised if you hear the distinct whistle call of the Klipspringers from the nearby mountains in the moonlight or at sunrise. This trail will work up your appetite for a hearty traditional English breakfast.
Cango Wildlife Ranch, Cango Ostrich Farm, Cango Caves, Wilgewandel Holiday Farm, Swartberg Pass, Wine tasting and the CP Nel Museum in town are all popular attractions.
