Stone Meadows Country Estate is picturesquely positioned in the sleepy hollow of Buffelsfontein between the Magaliesburg and Witwatersrand mountain ranges, the perfect country getaway for the whole family or for the romantic couple wanting quality time together.
Self Catering Accommodation
The cottages are all comfortably furnished. Whether for a weekend break, or longer term use as a base whilst exploring the areas other delights, we have self-catering accommodation cottages in a tranquil, serine environment, which you will find a comfortable home away from home.
Enjoy a cold one from your own deck, taking in the sun-set over the rolling hills and calming water of the dam, while you wait for the fire to turn into coals and then the mouth watering aromas of the meat sizzling on the braai makes the neighbours jealous of your dinner.
Activities and Attractions
For the birding enthusiasts, we are blessed with a large species of rare feathered friends.
The two dams on the premises are stocked with Carp, Yellow Fish, Morkel and a variety of Tilapia for those who wish to cast a line (catch and release). A little blue rowing boat is available for parents to take the children on or for a row out and a romantic sundowner.
The country roads are suitable for those who want to bring along their mountain bikes.
During the hot summer heat, our crystal clear blue swimming pool is a refreshing pleasure with stunning views over the valley, here by the pool is a social area with a big screen TV so parents can enjoy the sports and the kids can be entertained in a safe environment.

The accommodation was neat and there was a pool which would be nice to use in warmer weather. Good cellphone reception. The dogs had an amazing time! They enjoyed the walks and swims in the dam. They were free to explore the premises. There are farm animals such as goats, sheep, chicken, horses which added another great dimension to the vacation. The area is vey peaceful, surrounded by trees. It is quiet and restful for those who just want to chill - away from city life.
