Stroh House at RiverStill Guest Farm is nestled in a deep valley, just 6km outside of Groot Marico. Scoured by the Groot Marico River, here the accent is on tranquillity, solitude and reconnecting with nature.

Self Catering Accommodation

Stroh House is one of five cottages scattered on the farm.

This holiday home in Groot Marico has four bedrooms; the first bedroom is furnished with a double bed, the second is furnished with a double bed and a single bed, the third is furnished with two single beds and the fourth bedroom is furnished with one single bed.

The bathroom is fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. There is a separate toilet and a wood fuelled geyser provides hot water. Guests will need to bring their own towels.

The cottage has an open plan lounge / dining area which boasts a fireplace. The kitchen is well equipped for self catering and includes a fridge, two-plate gas stove, microwave oven, kettle and toaster. There is a lovely shaded patio with plenty of seating space.

Please bring your own firewood or we can supply at an extra cost.

Activities and Attractions

The Marico River runs through the farm and is definitely the highlight for those who like swimming or canoeing! RiverStill co-hosts the annual HC Bosman Festival and there is a labyrinth to be walked, trails to be hiked, fishing in the river and amazing stargazing at night.

Other attractions include bird watching and picnicking. Guests are welcome to pick from the herb gardens that grow around the main house to spice up their salads and to sample the locally distilled mampoer.
