About Swept Away Guest House

Swept Away Guest House is true to its name, nestled against a hill with stunning views of the bay below, and on a clear day you can even see Table Mountain. Our good size balcony allows for sundowners in comfort, while a winter garden gives you the opportunity to have the view without too much wind or sun.

Accommodation

The house is situated approximately 600m from the beach and has four double rooms with en-suite bathrooms. All rooms have a TV and stunning sea views.

Our self-catering apartment sleeps up to two guests, including en-suite bathroom and a fully equipped kitchen and dining area. There is also a separate entrance.

Facilities

The garden in front of the house is ideal for sunbathing during the day and braais under the beautiful starlit sky in the evenings. Comfortable garden furniture also makes an afternoon tea break a special treat.

We welcome families with children and/or pets, as our enclosed garden provides a secure play area. Please take note that there is an additional charge per pet.

Location

Yzerfontein is an idyllic fishing village about 80km from Cape Town. The Swartland Wine Route and the village of Darling are really close as is the entrance to the West Coast National Park. Our Guesthouse is therefore the perfect place to discover the West Coast of South Africa. Furthermore, our region offers a variety of hiking trails and unique bird life.

For the evening restaurants and beach bars are nice places to enjoy the rest of the day. One highlight in Yzerfontein is the miles long coast with lots of beaches and cliffs, perfect also for surfing. The small harbor is the perfect place for fishing. In springtime the whole region turns into an ocean of blooming wildflowers. The whole region offers lots of activities. The West Coast National Park, famous for its great bird life, is really close. For wine lovers the Darling Wine Route is also highly recommended.
