About Thabametsi Farm
Thabametsi Farm meaning ‘Mountain Water' is a tranquil, rustic self-catering getaway in the heart of scenic Magaliesburg. Situated on a 132Ha farm, Thabametsi is nestled between two koppies overlooking the valley to the Witwatersrand Mountains. This malaria-free location assures guests of beautiful sunsets and great hospitality. It is not far from the Cradle of Humankind or Sun City. There are many activities in the area to satisfy all interests.
Thabamesti Farm offers family orientated accommodation therefore children are welcome. Ducks, chickens and turkeys give the children a sense of real farm life. A jungle gym, pre-booked horseback outrides and pony rides as well as a children's pool are also available.
Accommodation
Comfortably furnished in a rustic theme. There is a cosy indoor fireplaces and a TV with DStv in all the units. All units have fans, heaters, hot water bottles or electric blankets caters for cosy winter nights whilst summer evenings are braai-time in the lovely bomas under the stars. There are fully equipped kitchens. Towels and linen provided. Cots and high chairs are available to rent.
There is a solar heated swimming pool, an exercise room with basic gym equipment, table tennis, and various ball games. There is also under cover parking. Guests cna enjoy the craft and coffee shop on site.

We are not registered with tourism council anymore but our service is definitely up to their standards and offer nothing less than 3 star accommodation as always.

A jungle gym, pre-booked horseback outrides and pony rides as well as a children's pool are also available. Donkey and tractor rides are also available on request. There is a trampoline in the play area, an obstacle course and plenty of walks and birding opportunities. Adults and kids are encouraged to bring along their bikes.

Driving in the farm I saw exactly what I was expecting. The rooms were beautiful and clean The place is beautiful, peaceful , a happy place for kids. The customer service is amazing The owners are so helpful when u ask for things you get them The gentleman who works there James is such a darling, friendly, helpful, hands on entertaining. We really enjoyed our stay The only thing I think they must communicate clearly is. When I asked prior to the trip if the have ice and charcoal I was told yes, I was not told u have to buy the wood and charcoal I thought it is free And the dont have packets of ice, it's just small ice cube trays in the rooms But other than that everything was amazing
