Thaba Nkwe Bushveld Inn is conveniently located 5 kms from Thabazimbi town and is only a short drive from Marakele National Park and the Predator Center, where one can self drive and game view for the 'Big Five'.
Self Catering Accommodation
The Lodge, which is near the main gate, offers self catering chalets, wooden cabins / rondawels and camping. The units are rustic, thatched and are connected with demarcated stone paths close to the wooden decked restaurant.
An open fire pit, located at the swimming pool, is available to those guests wishing to escape the hustle of everyday life. Night security is available together with ample parking.
Dining
We offer a complimentary breakfast each morning. The Thaba Nkwe Bush Restaurant, with a leopard and wild life theme, is renowned for its steaks and unique 'Fillet a la Ellie'. The head chef, Ellie, has been with the Thaba Nkwe Bushveld Inn team for many years and is recognized as being one of the best grill chefs in the area.
The restaurant is open daily for breakfast, lunch and dinner but is closed on Sundays. The thatch roof bar, which is located in the restaurant, is often festive and is fully licensed with wine, malt and spirits. A big screen is available for special sports events or alternatively, guests may choose to relax peacefully on the raised wooden deck overlooking the gardens and swimming pool. A home from home place with personalized service and atmosphere.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
Thaba Nkwe Bushveld Inn offers 350 hectares of rugged terrain and trails for novices and extremists who enjoy hiking or mountain biking in an African game reserve. The 'Leopard Outlook' cabin, situated in the reserve, offers a peaceful, opportunity for those who like to rough it with policy of 'take what you need'.
Alternatively, the Stone Boma, located in the reserve, is available exclusively for those who wish to braai under the African stars with the option of hiring it for a private party or we can arrange a traditional braai (bookings essential).
