The Big Tree House Lodge offers unique self catering accommodation in Knysna. The timber framed units boast magnificent views over the Knysna Lagoon and through the Knysna Heads. From here you are in prime position and will easily enjoy a relaxing getaway while still being near to many popular attractions and exhilarating activities that are on offer in and around the area.

Self Catering Accommodation

All units boast a private deck with braai facilities including firelighters, charcoal and braai grids. All units are alarmed for your security and have their own parking.

The gardens are gorgeous and delightful to stroll through. Basic toiletries are provided, as are coffee and tea upon arrivalhe water purification system provides all units with twice filtered drinking water.

The Area

Knysna is surrounded by incredibly beautiful beaches, for walking, for sun-bathing, for swimming or for learning to surf or stand up paddle (SUP). Great fishing from land or from boat in the lagoon or the sea. Within 40 minutes drive are many animal centers including, Birds of Eden, Monkeyland, Jukani, walk with the Cheetah's at Tenikwa, the Wolf Sanctuary and Radical Raptors for birds of prey and displays of their incredible hunting skills and for children there are endless opportunities to entertain including the water park.

Beautiful view and clean well cared for facility. Hosts are friendly and nice people. However the noise factor at this property really takes down the value. You can hear trucks on N2 all night long. Neighbors are constructing and start hammering and pounding at 7:30 am. Dogs howl during the night. Overall it is a nice property due to the view but I found it overpriced compared to other properties I stayed at this trip.
