The Bush Cottage is a self catering holiday cottage in Tesselaarsdal located on the Klein Watervalplaas in Tesselaarsdal. Want to spend some time away from the city, rat race, noise, pollution and traffic, right in the middle of nowhere? Just an hour and a half away from Cape Town and you can enjoy the country life.

Self Catering Accommodation

The Bush Cottage has two bedrooms. One bedroom is furnished with a double bed and the second bedroom is furnished with two single beds. The spacious bathroom is fitted with a bath / shower combo, toilet and basin.

The kitchen is equipped with a microwave, stovetop, fridge, kettle and toaster. The living area has a fireplace and a dining table. Free Wi-Fi is provided.

Outside is a patio with braai facilities.

On Site Facilities

There is an on-site restaurant and meals can be prepared on request.

Please note

There is no TV in the cottage. Water is drinkable but sometimes discoloured so you may want to bring your own drinking water. Low profile tyres and lowered/sports vehicles are not recommended. Cell phone reception varies. No card facilities – Cash only.

In the heart of Cape Overberg, roughly 21km from Caledon and the N2, lies the quaint, virtually unheard of the village of Tesselaarsdal. It is one of those little towns that is close to everything – 38km from Stanford, 45km from Hermanus - with beautiful scenery and a series of agricultural small holdings that are selling fast to a group of artists and organic small holders who have discovered that Tesselaarsdal is probably the best-kept secret for miles around. Activities in the area include fynbos walks, kabota rides, swimming and pony rides.
