The Little Unknown is the perfect forest getaway – for couples, small families or friends. This is the ultimate place where guests can enjoy peace and privacy away from all the distractions of everyday life. The location, ambiance and beautifully designed Garden Route self catering accommodation, offers an intimate holiday destination or a base for an action-packed adventure break on the Garden Route.

Self Catering Accommodation

The Little Unknown has two bedrooms with Queen-size beds. Each room has an en-suite bathroom with a shower.

The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, an oven and stove and a microwave and the open-plan living area has a fireplace, a TV and a dining table and chairs. There is a DVD player but no satellite channels.

The patio is equipped with an outdoor dining table and chairs, ideal for alfresco dining with beautiful views. Braai facilities are available and the cottage is equipped with free Wi-Fi. Guests also have access to secure parking. Half day housekeeping service is available at an additional cost.

Children are welcome but guests should please note that there is an unfenced dam which may not be safe for toddlers and children younger than 8 years old.

The area between Knysna and Plettenberg Bay is nature's playground. In addition to scenic drives, boat trips on the Knysna lagoon and beautiful forest and coastal walks, there are several superb wildlife reserves and sanctuaries – perfect for children and adults alike. These include: Knysna Elephant Park, Monkeyland, Birds of Eden, Buffalo Hills & Plettenberg Game Reserves, Tenikwa Wild Cat Park, Noah's Park Wolf Sanctuary, Eagle Encounters and Lawnwood Snake Sanctuary. A day trip to the ostrich farms in Oudtshoorn, the magnificent Cango Caves or the Tsitsikamma National Park will prove unforgettable.

Sailing, kayaking, surfing, fishing, hiking, mountain and quad biking, horse riding and paragliding. Pezula, Simola, Knysna, Plettenberg Bay, Goose Valley and George golf courses are all within easy reach.
