The Tides B&B offers accommodation in Simons Town at the foot of Swartberg Mountain range just outside Simons Town. This is a restful base to explore beaches, nature, Boulders Beach Penguin Colony, Seal Island, Whale watching in season and Cape Point Nature Reserve.

Area Information

Set off with a short stroll to nearby Fisherman's beach. Blow away the cobwebs and hop in for a swim. Meander along grassy pathways to discover hidden beaches and rockpools. Continue a little way up the road and visit the Penguin Colony at Boulders Beach.

Afterwards, wander around Simon's Town where you can stop for lunch or dinner at one of the many restaurants and coffee shops before browsing quaint shops and historic sites. At the harbour book an activity from sailing and fishing, to boat trips out to Seal Island and Whale watching.

Linger here until evening and watch the locals' fish for squid from the harbour wall before returning to The Tides for a sundowner on your veranda. In season, from your room or private veranda, keep an eye out for Southern Right and Humpback whales in False Bay on their annual migration.
