About The Vaal Guesthouse

The Vaal Guesthouse is a lovely thatched guest house in Deneysville set in the secure and tranquil Skier Landgoed Eco Wildlife Estate on the banks of the Peninsula on the Vaal Dam, approximately 20km from Oranjeville. The guest house offers beautiful lake views.

Accommodation

The Vaal Guesthouse rooms are each equipped with a bar fridge and a tea and coffee station. The en-suite bathrooms have complimentary toiletries. Some rooms are equipped with a personal balcony that steps out onto our beautiful garden and others offer a stunning pool view.

Dining

A buffet breakfast can be enjoyed each morning in the large dining room area. Other meals are available on request.

On Site Facilities

There are two large guest lounge areas, one upstairs and one downstairs. Outside, there is a lovely plunge pool and a Jacuzzi. It is ideal for family getaways with a slide and a jungle gym for the kids. The guest house also has a fire pit, garden, dining area and secure access-controlled area with security gate and guards.

Attractions

The guest house is set in the Skier Landgoed Eco Wildlife Estate on the banks of the Peninsula on the Vaal Dam. Buck and ostrich roam freely in the estate and you can watch them drinking at the dam. The area is popular with water sports enthusiasts.

The Vaal Dam has over 800 km worth of coastline and covers over 300 km. Also one of Gauteng's major sources of drinking water, it lies on the Vaal River close to Vereeniging, midway between the N1 and the N3, and roughly 110km from Johannesburg.
