Self-Catering Accommodation

The villa boasts five beautifully appointed bedrooms and three and a half bathrooms, comfortably accommodating up to eight adults and three children. It’s an ideal retreat for families or groups of friends seeking a peaceful getaway or a base to explore the captivating surroundings of De Kelders.

Inside, the villa is designed to take full advantage of its breathtaking location, with sweeping views of Walker Bay and the distant charm of Hermanus. The open-plan living area seamlessly integrates a lounge, dining space, and contemporary kitchen, all flowing onto a spacious balcony through sliding or stacking glass doors. This outdoor entertainment area is perfect for relaxed gatherings, complete with a long dining table, bench seating, lounge chairs, and a built-in braai - offering the ultimate setting for enjoying meals and the fresh ocean breeze.

Indoors, the inviting L-shaped couch beckons for leisurely afternoons with a good book or lively evenings spent with board games from the villa’s collection. A Smart TV with full DStv caters to sports fans, while the warmth of the wood-burning stove fireplace creates a cosy atmosphere for cooler winter nights.

The fully equipped modern kitchen is a haven for culinary enthusiasts, featuring a central cooking island with an induction stove, a microwave-air fryer combo, an eye-level oven, a dishwasher, a Nespresso coffee machine, and a double-door fridge. A separate scullery adds convenience with a washing machine, tumble dryer, small chest freezer, ice machine, and ample utensils, crockery, and glassware for larger groups.

The master suite on the upper level is a luxurious retreat, offering an extra-length king-size bed, built-in cupboards, and a private balcony with sun loungers. Its en-suite bathroom features both a bath and a shower. Additionally, a guest toilet is conveniently located on this level.

The villa is equipped with full Wi-Fi coverage and a state-of-the-art alarm system with 24/7 response for peace of mind. A housekeeper is available Monday to Saturday (excluding public holidays) for half-day service, ensuring a seamless stay.

This quaint village, located 5 km north of Gansbaai and approximately 25 minutes from Hermanus, has retained its quiet, fishing village charm despite the popularity of the surrounding region. Known for its fresh seafood and natural beauty, De Kelders is a haven for nature lovers.

Walker Bay, the backdrop to this remarkable destination, is famed for being the seasonal home of the Southern Right Whale. From July to November, these majestic creatures return to the bay’s sheltered waters to mate and calve, providing some of the world’s best land-based whale watching. Whales often approach just metres from the shoreline, offering an unforgettable spectacle for visitors.
