Nestled within the lush Maitland Forest, you'll find a luxury once-in-a-lifetime stargazing experience. A meandering boardwalk leads you onto a spacious deck where you will discover Thunzi's romantic dome with distinct finishes and so much more.

Thunzi Bush Lodge has the first-ever dome, consisting of 3 pods – all designed for stargazing! The pods include a bedroom, a self-catering kitchen, and a bathroom. Relax in the wood-fired hot tub while taking in the views of the wetlands and surroundings. Or have a luxury African bush braai while watching the sunset.

Thunzi offers a variety of activities namely, bird watching, fishing tackle for the challenge of exciting Bass fishing, shady forest & beach walks, sand boards for the Giant Sand Dunes only 3km from Thunzi and even relaxing Spa therapies in the privacy of your own chalet.

Our swimming pool, called the Lazy Lizard, is also a perfect excuse to soak up the sun in true lounging fashion.
