Nestled amidst the sprawling expanse of a 1200-hectare farm, Tierkloof Mountain Cottages offers a serene escape. Here, guests are embraced by the scenic beauty of the countryside, complemented by a quilt of farmland on the slopes of the Swartruggens mountain range. Situated at a distance of 65 km from the town of Ceres, it promises a retreat far from the bustle of urban life.
Self-Catering Accommodation
Three private, solar-powered cottages stand as sanctuaries, accommodating between 4 to 10 individuals. Each cottage boasts its own oasis—a secluded pool and a wood-fired hot tub, commanding views of the vast farm.
Serenity: The Serenity cottage features 3 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, accommodating up to 6 guests.
Dragon Rock: The Dragon Rock unit houses 2 bedrooms, accommodating 4 guests with a shared bathroom.
The Fort: Ideally suited for larger groups, it has 4 bedrooms and 2 bathrooms, accommodating up to 10 guests.
All units are equipped with a self-catering kitchen, complete with essential appliances such as a fridge, gas stove, and oven. Complemented by free Wi-Fi and a compact Bluetooth speaker, the open-plan living area invites cozy gatherings around a fireplace, leading onto a deck adorned with a pool, braai facilities, and an outdoor dining ensemble. Due to our reliance on solar power, ironing of bed linen is not feasible. However, rest assured, our linen boasts the essence of farm-fresh purity. Should you desire ironed linen, please inform us in advance to facilitate necessary arrangements.
Additional Information
As a self-catering haven nestled off the beaten path, it is imperative to bring along all necessities for your stay, considering the nearest shops are an hour's journey away. We provide firewood, with the option to purchase additional wood if needed.

Dog lovers are welcomed, subject to prior arrangement. However, we kindly request that dogs refrain from furniture and pools, as it may disrupt the solar pump.

Tierkloof presents superb accommodation within the Tankwa Karoo district. The accommodation is comfortable with special attention to detail that makes it aesthetically pleasing and welcoming. The host went out of their way to ensure comfort with lots of blankets, hot water bottles, a sufficiently equipped kitchen and well thought through decking areas to relax. Highly recommend this accommodation for the discerning visitor.
