A comfortable and well-appointed Midlands Meander self catering accommodation lodge perched over the spectacular 30m Hleka Manzi (Laughing waters) waterfall on the upper reaches of the Elands River. An expansive wooden deck overlooks the canopy of indigenous forest with spectacular views of the Inhluzane Mountain. Tranquility and seclusion make this an ideal place to unwind and enjoy the beauty of the reserve. Fisherman can access several exceptional trout dams within easy walking distance. Trophy Brown and Rainbow Trout of up to 4.2 kg have been caught. For nature lovers, there are well marked walking trails along the river and through the indigenous forest. The lodge sleeps 8 guests in 4 twin/double bedrooms with two bathrooms. Relax in the spacious open plan lounge and dining room with a welcoming fireplace for those cold mountain evenings. A sleeper couch is available in the lounge. A fully equipped kitchen provides all the necessary amenities for self catering. The lodge is serviced daily. Other facilities include DSTV, electric blankets, gas heaters and braai facilities. There is no wifi or cell phone reception on the reserve.
