Situated along one of the oldest roads in Franschhoek, this historic and beloved two-bedroom cottage presents an unassuming wooden entrance and tin-roofed veranda that contrast with the refined elegance and generous space within.

Encircling a secluded courtyard garden adorned with bougainvillea, complete with a swimming pool and sun loungers, Tockie’s charm is evident in its modern farmhouse ambiance, featuring large sash windows, wooden floors and ceilings, and a relaxed, open-plan design. The mountain vistas, sunlit rooms, and absolute privacy make this a perfect retreat in Franschhoek.

Self-Catering Accommodation

The cottage accommodates up to 4 guests and includes 2 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, and 2 living areas. The main bedroom features a king-size bed and an en-suite bathroom with a marble-topped double vanity, bath, enclosed shower, and separate toilet.

French doors in the main bedroom open directly onto the sun-drenched courtyard garden and pool area. The second bedroom offers a king-size bed that can be converted into 2 single beds and an en-suite bathroom with a shower, bath, and toilet. Both bedrooms are fitted with air-conditioning units and ceiling fans for warmer evenings, wall-mounted eco-heaters for cooler nights, and heated towel rails in the bathrooms.

The fully equipped kitchen provides everything needed for self-catering, including a stove, oven, fridge-freezer, microwave, cutlery, crockery, dishwasher, and a wooden preparation island. The dining area boasts a large, farmhouse-style table that comfortably seats 8 guests.

The lounge is furnished with a cozy suite, a wall-mounted flat-screen TV, a Blu-ray player, and a fireplace.
