About Treeferns Trout Lodge
Treeferns Trout Lodge offers peace and tranquility on a farm with 15 natural, spring fed dams boasting hungry trout. The lodge is situated halfway between Belfast and Dullstroom. While sitting on the deck of a stone cottage, listen to the sound of fish eagles crying while enjoying the views around you.
The farm has historical significance; in 1901 it was the site of the “Slag van Vlakfontein” that eventually formed part of the second Anglo Boer War and the farm still has trenches where the soldiers lay waiting.
Self Catering Accommodation
We offer a number of self catering chalets all of which are equipped with a fridge / freezer, microwave, stove and oven.
Brown Trout:
Three separate bedrooms with two single beds per room. There are two bathrooms and a kitchen, lounge and dining area. The lounge has a fireplace and there are braai facilities. The cottage has a deck area and overlooks one of the dams.
Willow Duck:
Three separate bedrooms with two single beds per room. There is one bathroom, a separate toilet and a kitchen, lounge and dining area. The lounge has a fireplace and there are braai facilities adjacent to the deck. The cottage overlooks one of the dams.
Rainbow Trout:
