Trogon Cottage offers accommodation in Magoebaskloof on Dragonwyck Farm. The working farm producing avocados and indigenous plants. Various walks on the farm follow the streams and provide access to escarpment forest.

Self Catering Accommodation

Trogon Cottage in Magoebaskloof has one bedroom furnished with a King size bed which can be converted into two single beds depending on guests' requirements. Linen and towels are provided.

Trogon Cottage has an inside shower and double bath. The outside private double bath is set in the garden among the plants for privacy. You and your partner can watch sunbirds exploring flowers looking for nectar from the double bath.

Trogon Cottage has WIFI. The unit does not have a TV. The unit is equipped with a gas stove, fridge/freezer, microwave and all the kitchen utensils you will need. The inside fireplace is designed to be used as a braai when it is cold and wet. Trogon has a portable braai to be used anywhere in the gardens. Trogon Cottage has a splash pool.

Trogon is not serviced daily. Hot water is supplied by an electric geyser with a wood burning donkey (geyser) as back up. Regret no pets allowed. We supply a packet of wood per day for the warming fire. Charcoal and braai wood is available for purchase on the farm.

A view site, a short distance from the cottage, has been developed. It overlooks the forest from the shade of forest trees we planted a few years ago.

Please Note

The cottage is accessed by a 2km dirt road. The road is not suitable for low profile cars or drivers who are unaccustomed to dirt roads.
