About Tsala Treetop Lodge

Set amidst the treetops of an age-old indigenous forest, Tsala Treetop Lodge is a lavish celebration of the spirit of Africa. Emulating the monumental ruins of an ancient central African civilisation, the impressive stone-masonry entrance flanked by water features leads into a magnificent foyer supported by polished Blackwood columns.

Accommodation

Tsala Treetop Lodge offers luxury accommodation in Plettenberg Bay, tucked into the forest canopy. There are ten luxury hide-away suites and six luxury villas.

The suites, constructed of stone, wood and glass comprise a sumptuous bedroom, an elegant sitting room with a fireplace and a spacious bathroom fit for royalty. Extending into the forest is a private deck for dining al fresco and as if in emphasis of your privacy and seclusion each suite has its own infinity pool, seemingly suspended by the very air itself.

The villas have a private deck with an infinity pool overlooking the forest below. The spacious lounge area, with a fireplace for cosy winters and an overhead ceiling fan for the moderate summer seasons, flows onto a wooden deck perched above the tree-top canopies. Each villa has two bedrooms.

The suites and villas are linked by wooden walkways winding through the forest to the main Tsala entrance and both accommodation options have private, secure parking facilities available on the estate and situated close to the suites and the villas.

Breakfast & Dining

Hunter's Estate offers three unique dining options for our guests. Meals at Tsala are exquisitely presented in the glass-walled dining room. For those wanting to enjoy the morning sunshine - our spectacular dining deck, suspended above the forest floor, is the perfect spot.

For casual a la carte, our award-winning Zinzi Restaurant is just a stroll from Tsala. Offering an international fare with a Zinzi twist. Alternatively for a set menu option Sage at Hunter's offers elegant fare in true country style.

Ideally situated between the coastal towns of Knysna and Plettenberg Bay in the Western Cape, Tsala Treetop Lodge is a wonderful location from which to explore the beauty of the celebrated Garden Route, or just spend time relaxing at the peaceful lodge.
