Ulusaba is Sir Richard Branson's Private Game Reserve located in the Western sector of the Sabi Sand Private Game Reserve. Rock Lodge is perched high on the summit of a koppie and provides panoramic views over miles of bush, the wildlife roaming within, and the beauty of the lowveld below.

Accommodation
Rock Lodge features ten individually designed rooms and suites as well as a swimming pool, gymnasium, a wine cellar, Aroma Boma spa with panoramic views, a Bush Observatory perfect for stargazing and tennis courts. Guests can enjoy safari walks, moonlit bush dinners and of course, the twice daily game drives.
Ulusaba Rock Lodge has 10 rooms and suites and can accommodate up to 20 guests based in double occupancy rooms. Children of all ages are welcome at Rock Lodge. Please see individual suite description and photos below.
Dining
At Ulusaba dining is a very important part of your stay, and our chefs work hard from morning until night to provide the freshest and tastiest meals possible. All meals and drinks are included in your rates, and with at least six opportunities per day to eat, we promise you won't go hungry!
Our internationally renowned chefs have developed numerous pan-African dishes influenced by many African cultures, flavours and spices. Our recipes are constantly refreshed and consist of seasonal, local ingredients.
Whether dining under the African sky, in the Boma, on a deck or in the dining room, our menus and meals promise to be exciting, social and inspirational. All our breads and pastries are home baked daily and we also cater for private meals and special occasions.
Aroma Boma Spa
The Aroma Boma at Ulusaba is the perfect antidote to all the excitement of being out on the game drives. Book in for a relaxing treatment, from facial rituals to massage to essential grooming. The Aroma Boma at Rock Lodge is located 800 feet above the African Savannah with truly stunning views over the Bush and offers complete privacy.
Wildlife Activities
Safari Bush walk
The daily Safari walk usually commences after breakfast. This is a fascinating activity as it allows you to observe the smaller animals that you would usually not see while out on the game vehicles. Our knowledgeable Rangers and Trackers will enthral you with stories about the medicinal properties of plants, local beliefs regarding the wildlife and fascinating facts.
Game Drives
Anyone who's been on safari before knows that no two game drives are ever the same! There are two daily game drives at Ulusaba, one leaving early in the morning and one leaving late afternoon, each lasting around three hours. Times will vary depending on the season, but you should always keep your eyes peeled for the Big 5. You'll traverse over 13,500 hectares of private reserve with your dedicated Ranger and Tracker who will tailor your game drive just for you.

The Rock Cliff Rooms are approximately 70 sqm each. There are four adjoining Rock Cliff rooms, all south facing with views over the vast landscape. Rooms are spacious and offer en-suite bathrooms with spectacular views. Two of these rooms are built on split levels with a spiral staircase connecting the bedroom and bathroom. All Rock Cliff Rooms have King Size beds (that can split into Twins), air conditioning, ceiling fans and mosquito nets. All rooms supplied with bottled water, spray-on insect repellent, Africology toiletries, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers. Complimentary Wi-Fi Access is available. All rooms include tea and coffee-making facilities, snacks and a complimentary mini bar. Each has a private terrace or balcony.

The Rock Suite is approximately 125 Sqm. A spacious two bedroom suite with living area, the master bedroom has a full en-suite and views over the bush, and the second queen bedded room a smaller en-suite bathroom (with a shower only). The Rock Suite is our family suite and can accommodate 2 adults and 2 children (under 12 years) sharing. Our rates include all Cubs Club activities; also refer to our Kids go Free offer for great family value! The Rock Suite Master Bedroom has a King Size Bed (that can split into Twins). The second bedroom has a Queen Bed (that cannot split). The suite offers air conditioning, ceiling fans and mosquito nets. All rooms supplied with bottled water, spray-on insect repellent, Africology toiletries, hairdryer, bathrobes and slippers. Complimentary Wi-Fi Access is available. All rooms include tea and coffee-making facilities, snacks and a complimentary mini bar. The Rock Suite has a private balcony with doors leading out from both the Master Bedroom and lounge area.
