About Wild & Free Game Lodge

Wild & Free Game Lodge is situated in the unspoilt reaches of the South African malaria-free bushveld on the southern foothills of the Waterberg Mountains.

Situated two hours away from Johannesburg, on a 12000 hectare reserve in the malaria-free Waterberg, Wild & Free Game Lodge is able to accommodate up to six guests on a full board basis. Here guests are able to view many game species such as the Big 5, hippo's, giraffe, zebra, many kinds of buck and over 250 bird species.

Accommodation

Wild & Free Game Lodge has three separate executive chalets. All the chalets are air-conditioned and furnished with King-size beds as well as a bathroom with a shower, toilet and his and her basins. Bed linen, bathroom towels and a hairdryer are provided.

Each chalet has a safe for valuables, a private entrance, a mini bar and tea / coffee making facilities. The upstairs loft features a living area with comfortable furniture. There is also an indoor fireplace.

Outside each chalet, on the private deck, is an outdoor shower / bath as well as a two seater dining table. Here splendid views of the area can be admired.

Dining

All meals are included in the rates and guests are able to dine at the onsite dining room or have dinner under the night-sky at the boma. Here there is great food and a peaceful setting.

On Site Activities

Guests are able to book game drives and guided game walks (at an additional cost) with expert guides. They can get as close as two meters to animals such as the rhino and water buffalo. Enjoy Lion Drives Guided walks / horse riding, visit the cheetahs, see the endangered bromvoels and enjoy adventures with elephants. We can also arrange other activities on request including a visit to the Zebula golf Course for those itching to get onto this popular green.
