Self Catering Accommodation

JoodseWinkel Cottage is a self catering holiday cottage in Nieuwoudtville sleeping three guests. This is a very old sandstone building with thick walls.

There is one bedroom furnished with a Queen-size bed and a sofa bed. The bathroom is fitted with a bath, shower, toilet and basin.

There is an open plan kitchen with a living area and fireplace suitable for a braai. The kitchen also has a kettle, toaster, microwave, bar fridge, hot plates, crockery, cutlery etc.

Outside there are two chairs and a braai drum.

The Farm

There are many historical buildings to view for example the Smuts/Maritz office, the Waenhuis, the Opstal, and many more. For the adventurous people, there are also 4x4 routes and hiking routes that can be explored. The seasonal flower routes like candlestick lilies and yellow “katstert” flowers are to be seen on these routes. A must to visit is the old graves, the “trapvloer” as well as the fountain and the old tractors. As it is a working sheep farm, sheep shearing during spring (August) and in the autumn is very exciting as well as seeing the dogs in action getting the sheep together. At Gletser is a glacier pavement.
