About Woodlands Retreat

Surrounded by inspiring sandstone mountains, secluded amongst woodland trees and nestled in a lush garden, this peaceful venue is ideal for rest and relaxation and one can take an easy three minute gentle drive (approximately a 10 minute walk) to central Clarens.

We strive to create an organic environment which is eco-friendly and our goal is to be as self-sufficient as possible, planning to be off the grid in the future.

Self Catering Accommodation

Woodlands Retreat offers self-catering suites (sleeping 2 guests each). Beds are dressed with 100% percale cotton linen and the white en-suite bathroom has a shower. Overlooking the lush garden is your covered semi-circular patio with outdoor furniture for your private use.

The kitchenettes are equipped with a two plate cooker, oven, fridge, kettle, toaster, crockery, cutlery, glassware and cooking utensils and as a welcome gift, you will find tea, coffee, sugar and fresh milk in the suite.

Additional Facilities

There is a braai (BBQ) stand and wood / charcoal and fire lighters for use on the premises. There is also an umbrella as we often have four seasons in one day.

There is free, secure parking and each suite has an access key for the gates which are locked at night. Wireless internet is usually turned on from +/- 07h00 until 23h00 so as to allow guests with EMF sensitivities to rest well.

As we have a pet of our own we unfortunately are unable to host yours.
