Take a step back in time and sleep in a historical monument built in 1795 on this exquisite piece of farm property that has been lovingly restored. We practice regenerative farming and encourage biodiversity. This is a place to relax, reconnect and recharge.

Self Catering Accommodation

Zeekoegat Historical Homestead has two bedrooms. The upstairs bedroom is furnished with a King-size bed, a day bed and a cot for a small child is available on request. This room has a private bathroom fitted with a bath, shower, toilet and basin.

The downstairs bedroom is furnished with a Queen-size bed and has a bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. This room has a kitchenette with an induction plate and tea / coffee making facilities.

The kitchen is fully equipped for self catering. There is a large dining table and a lounge with a fireplace. Wi-Fi access is available to guests.

Outside is a firepit and also portable braai facilities in the lovely garden.

There is a menagerie of domestic pets on the farm from pigs to turkeys to horses and lots of dogs. Not for you if you don't like animals, if you do it's paradise.

Zeekoegat Historical Homestead is situated 5km from Riversdale at the foot of the Langeberg Mountains with the Sleeping Beauty mountain peak providing a distinctive backdrop for the town. In winter months, the surrounding areas come to life with floral displays. Heidelberg is 30km away, and Stilbaai 46km away.
