About Zia Cottage

Zia Cottage is a family-owned self-catering holiday home in Wolseley in the glorious Cape Winelands. The cottage is uniquely nestled at the base of the beautiful Witzenberg Mountains with two streams running through the property.

Self Catering Accommodation

Zia Cottage has three bedrooms, the first two are air-conditioned. The main bedroom is furnished with a King-size bed and has an en-suite bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin.

The second bedroom is furnished with a Queen-size bed and the third has comfortable twin beds. These rooms share a bathroom fitted with a shower, toilet and basin. A baby cot is available on request. There is also an outdoor shower. Toiletries, bath and pool towels, bathrobes are provided.

The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped with a 4-plate gas stovetop with an electric oven and the lounge offers comfortable seating with a fireplace, Smart TV, Netflix, Spotify, Prime and DStv. Free Wi-Fi is also available.

The cottage opens onto a patio with a built-in braai area overlooking the lovely surroundings. A rustic fire pit is nestled in the forest just metres from the cottage, and is protected from winds no matter their direction.

Additional Facilities

Guests have use of a backup electrical system and don't have to worry about loadshedding. An 8-seater Jacuzzi, mountain bike rental and firewood are available on request at an additional cost and guests have use of a communal swimming pool.

Attractions

With spectacular views, the cottage is in an area where guests can engage in activities such as hiking, cycling/mountain biking, and fishing. Each season brings about a different picturesque beauty, especially in winter where one might see snow on the Witzenberg and Ceres mountains. Zia Cottage is situated off the well-known Route 62 which offers easy access to a wide variety of wine farms and estates, 6km from Wolseley and 15km from Tulbagh, both towns offering a variety of restaurants shops and a wide variety of activities ranging from hiking and walking trails, bird watching and horseback riding trails.
