Duchess of Buccleugh

The name of this room refers to another ship that was shipwrecked in the Overberg, namely the Duchess of Buccleugh. It was a British wooden barque en route from Calcutta to London. It ran ashore on a sandy beach close to the Ratel River mouth on 13 June 1850. Duchess of Buccleugh is located on the second floor.
