Kareedouw is a gorgeous little town that lies on Route 62 just behind the Tsitsikamma National Park, between Joubertina and Humansdorp, and nestled up against the Suuranys Mountains roughly 120 kilometres from Port Elizabeth. FROM PORT ELIZABETH (135KMS):
Take N2 from Port Elizabeth, towards Humansdorp
Pass Jeffreys Bay Exit. Pass Humansdorp Exit
Take the exit on the left, marked ROUTE 62 LANGKLOOF / KAREEDOUW (EXIT: 647)
At the T-Junction, turn right under the N2 Bridge
You will travel approx. 29 km along the ROUTE 62
Look for the signboard ASSEGAAIBOSCH
The Lodge is on the left hand side, visible from the road, behind a field of horse paddocks.
Turn left at the curved white wall marked Assegaaibosch
FROM CAPE TOWN:
Travelling from Cape Town, you have two alternatives:
Option 1: (FROM GEORGE 190KMS)
Travel from George over the Outeniqua Pass, along the Route 62 towards Uniondale & Joubertina, before reaching Kareedouw.
Travel through Kareedouw.
1km after Kareedouw on the Route 62 you will find the Lodge on your right hand side.
Option 2: (From PLETTENBERG BAY 100KMS)
Travel from Plettenberg Bay on the N2 towards Tsitsikamma, pass the Stormsriver Bridge.
After Tsitsikamma you will see the signboard marked Kareedouw on the left.
Travel on this road for approx. 8 kms before reaching Kareedouw.
Travel through Kareedouw.
1km after Kareedouw on the Route 62 you will find the Lodge on your right hand side.
