We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at BeaconVlei. It is in a beautiful part of the world with lots of activities in the surrounding area. The accommodation itself is comfortable with a beautiful views of the lake with boats for guest use. There were beautiful forest and riverside walking trails to explore. Our dogs also loved the stay. Thank you to Alex for the lovely stay.

We regretted only staying the one night. The Boathouse is spacious, clean and well equipped with an amazing view of the pond/dam right out front. The indoor fireplace was pre-stacked (which we utilized because it got very cold) and we enjoyed the serene atmosphere immensely. The owner/manager was very pleasant, friendly and helpful. We are already planning a return trip.

Have been here before and will return, excellent atmosphere, peace and quiet, the lake is lovely for fly fishing, the cottages are warm and cozy - if you bood for B&B you are in for a treat, real English breakfast is served. Very well family orientated, dogs are friendly, pigs and lots of birdlife. Will be going back soon.

We enjoyed a very pleasant break, just chilling and doing absolutely nothing. The weather was a bit yuk but the mist rolling in over the mountain and the dam created the most relaxing vibe. The evening's braai fire provided the necessary warmth. The setting - good value for money. I'm sure we'll fall in again sometime.

Had an absolutely amazing stay, was soo tranquil and the visitirs we had (dogs) were great company. Will definetly be going back just as soon as we can..
