Travel North on the N2 and then take the R32 to Cookhouse. At Cookhouse continue through to Craddock. Approximately 1km before Craddock, take the Queenstown / Tarkastad turnoff. At Tarkastad, take the Adelaide / Bedford Road and follow the Blanco signs. Blanco is 14 kilometres from Tarka. After having travelled approximately 10km on the Adelaide / Bedford road, you will come to a boom. Go through the boom. Directly after the boom, the road splits, take the right split and follow the Blanco signs. Drive for approximately 3km on a gravel road and you will reach the Guest Farm.
From East London:
Travel North on the N6 to Queenstown. At Queenstown, take the R61 to Tarkastad. At Tarkastad, take the Adelaide/Bedford Road and follow the Blanco signs. Blanco is 14km from Tarka. After having travelled approximately 10km on the Adelaide / Bedford road, you will come to a boom. Go through the boom. Directly after the boom, the road splits, take the right split and follow the Blanco signs. Drive for approximately 3km on a gravel road and you will reach the Guest Farm.
From Cape Town:
Travel on the N1 to Beaufort West. At Beaufort West continue along the R61 to Aberdeen. At Aberdeen, take the R57 to Graaff-Reinet. At Graaff-Reinet, continue along the R57 for 49km and then turn right onto the R61towards Craddock. At Craddock, take the R61 to Tarkastad. At Tarkastad, take the Adelaide / Bedford Road and follow the Blanco signs. Blanco is 14km from Tarka. After having travelled approximately 10km on the Adelaide / Bedford road, you will come to a boom. Go through the boom. Directly after the boom, the road splits, take the right split and follow the Blanco signs. Drive for approximately 3km on a gravel road and you will reach the Guest Farm.
From Johannesburg:
Take the N1 to Bloemfontein. At Bloemfontein, take N6 to Aliwal North and then through to Queenstown. At Queenstown, take the R61 to Tarkastad. Blanco has a gravel airstrip which is 1000 metres long by 30 metres wide. Co-ordinates E longitude 26 degrees - 18 min S Latitude 32 Degrees 05 min. Elevation 4200 Ft. Three windsocks provide wind direction.
