The quaint little seaside village of Cintsa (or Chintsa), lies just 45 kilometres north east of East London. It is often mistakenly regarded as part of the Wild Coast, and though it lies very close to it, manages to fall just outside. Nonetheless, this part of the coast is reminiscent of all things wild, and the beauty of the surrounds is the reason so many seek out this peaceful spot that ... cont.
Coming from Mthatha:
Approximately 40km after the Kei River Bridge take the Chintsa turn off, it is 12kms to the Chintsa West/Buccaneers turn off on the left (do not take the Chintsa East turn off which is the first turn).
Coming from East London:
Follow the signs for the N2 Mthatha, once on the highway take exit 1060 off the N2. Cross over the freeway and travel 1km to the Chintsa turn off (left). Follow this road for approximately 16kms to the Chintsa West/Buccaneers turn off on the right.
After approximately 1km on the Chintsa West road take a left turn (sign posted Buccaneers Backpackers) to join a dirt road which winds its way towards to beach and Buccaneers. Enjoy the view!
