Bukela Game Lodge is situated in the Amakhala Game Reserve which consists of a 6000 ha of acacia grassland and Easten Cape valley-bushveld, approximately 25km in-land from the Indian Ocean. Situated, off a main route (N2) the reserve is within 70km distance from a national airport (Port Elizabeth). Shamwari is on the north side of Bukela. The Addo Elephant Park is 20 minutes drive from Bukela.
From Port Elizabeth
Follow the N2 from Port Elizabeth to Grahamstown (+- 70km).
Turn RIGHT onto the R342 to Alexandria (Karl Landman Monument). DO NOT take the R342 to Paterson. The right hand turn onto the R342 is exactly 3km further down the N2.
Go through the security gate.
Follow the signs to Bukela Game Lodge (+-7.5km turn right)
