The town of Plettenberg Bay lies almost on the border of the Western and Eastern Cape. From George and Knysna on the N2
Coming from Knysna on the N2 you will pass townships on the left and right. As you drive along you will see the Indian Ocean in front of you. On the left there is an industrial estate and ahead of you is a large roundabout. Turn right at the roundabout - sign post says Plettenberg Bay. After about 1.5 kilometers you will come to a mini round about with a bronze statue of dolphins in the middle - go straight across, down the hill. Over a river to the next mini round about - straight over again. After 100 metres there is a Spar shop on the left, just after it turn right- this is then Longships Drive. From Port Elizabeth on the N2
As you come along the N2 you will come down a hill and see Plettenberg Bay laid out before you. You go over two rivers, past Polo fields and a golf course. You will then see a sign to the left Plettenberg Bay. Turn left, past the ENGEN filling station, past a new shopping centre on the right, up the hill and through the centre of the town. You will come to a mini round about with a bronze statue of dolphins in the middle. Turn left there and go down the hill. Over a river to the next mini round about - straight over again.
