From Cape Town
Take the N2 (easternly direction). Cross the Hottentots Holland Mountains via the Sir Lowry's Pass. Pass the towns of Grabouw, Caledon, Riviersonderend before you get Swellendam. Take the first turnoff to Swellendam, at the 4 way stop turn right into Voortrek Street (main road). Proceed along Voortrek Street (+/- 3 km), pass the big white NG Church (on your left), 200m further you get Koornlands restaurant. Cypress Cottage is located next to this restaurant at No 3 Voortrek Street.
From Mossel Bay
Take the N2 (south westernly direction). Pass the towns of Albertinia, Riversdale, Heidelberg until you get Swellendam. Turn right into Swellendam (Voortrek street), pass the Old Drostdy Museum, cross the Koornlands river and you will find Cypress Cottage next to the Koornlands restaurant at No 3 Voortrek Street.
