A pleasant stop over on the way to Sodwana. Elsie was an extremely friendly and informative hostess - gave us a list of activities (and supplied maps) that we could do in a day in Swaziland (awesome that the border is only a kilometer away). The rooms were comfortable, neat and tidy. Kitchenette needs a bit of maintenance. Elsie is very passionate about the monkey rehabilitation center - interesting to hear about the monkeys personalities. We will definitely be back.

We really liked our stay at Emahlathini Guest Farm, mainly because the owners are very kind and the lodge is incredibly comfortable, located in a great environment. The logde is near Piet Retief and is accessible with just a regular car. It's also 1 km to the Swasiland border, so a day trip was very easy to do, even with company of one of the owners. We also did a hike on ourselves which was relaxing as it is just in the nature. These owners really have a heart for their visitors, as they treated us as family. They even showed us great places on a trip to the eastern part of South Africa. We recommend to stay a few days, as there are enough things to do and see near this lodge.
