Unfortunately not in line with expectations. I only stayed for 1 night out of 3. We were not offered compensation for the first night even though we couldn't get there due to the snow. On the second day the room was not ready when we arrived. Flow of the room was poor. And there was no hot water until the next morning. Would definately not recommend

The hotel chalets are neat and clean although they are a bit old. The food at the restaurant was good but they were not well stocked. We had to change 2 orders due to unavailability. Overall it was a good stay. The views and walks are spectacular!

The chalet was small and clean with a beautiful view, but quite run down and in need of an update. The staff were helpful and friendly and our issues with the chalet were resolved promptly. For self catering, the bare minimum was provided and could be improved on. Regrettably no noise policy was enforced and a 3am party in the chalets below kept us awake. For the price for a chalet at the hotel, not highly recommended.

Stayed at the chalets at Golden Gate. Good clean basic accommodation with daily service. Has the best views of the Brandwag Buttress! Offers the most amazing hikes - did the Holkrans & Brandwag - stunning scenery but quite an uphill & descent with the Brandwag trail. Clarens & Kiara Lodge nearby has plenty of restaurant options. Lovely drives all around. Great stay!

The chalet could have done with a clean - carpet was dirty and the teapot had old dried milk or something at the bottom from I don't know how many years back. Repairs to one of the shelfs in the bathroom was done with cheap perspex (to replace what had been glass). It's the small things that leave an unnecessary negative perception. One of the light bulbs was not working in the main lounge / bedroom area. The view was beautiful and the area is exquisite. We loved our hikes and the staff at the lodge were super friendly. So just fix the small stuff - it's not hard to get these little things right.

I realy enjoyed the stay at Golden Gate Hotel chalets. Will definately come again.

The place is very tidy and beautiful. Service was excellent

The room was clean and the view spectacular. There were no instructions how to use the aircon/heater and struggled to heat the room as it was extremely cold. For a self catering unit there were no basic pots for cooking. The staff were all very friendly.

Wonderful stay at Golden Gate Hotel. The views are fantastic and also the hiking trails.

What a view we had in front of the chalet. Although the geyser has a problem of the unit, but they managed to move us to a upper unit with a better view, and we found it was the same one I actually booked (exact the same setting). Overall, we enjoyed our stay and wish we could stay longer.
