Honey Bee Suite

The Honey Bee Suite in Gansbaai offers private and secluded accommodation and sleeps two guests in a free-standing tented room furnished with a double bed. A mosquito net is supplied for the summer months and the bedroom has drop-down canvas blinds that form the walls of the unit, enabling you to feel truly part of the forest if you so wish. The ablutions are fitted with a composting toilet, basin and shower. The bathroom is separate from the tented bedroom and is semi-enclosed, designed to make your stay at Platbos a true forest experience. Hot water is supplied via the old fashioned ‘donkey boiler system'. The free standing kitchenette has drop down blinds and a day bed for relaxing on if the weather is chilly. The kitchenette is equipped with a cooler box, gas cooker, pots, pans, crockery, cutlery (no oven, microwave or fridge). guest can use the communal freezer at Platbos. There is an outdoor braai area with a grid. While the water at the camp is fine for boiling and using in food preparation, you might like to bring along your own drinking water. The hot tub is set beneath a beautiful white stinkwood tree and uses untreated river water and takes ‘forest bathing' to the next level! Guests need to operate the wood-fired tub themselves but full instructions are supplied. The Hot Tub has a cover but it is not fenced.
