From the Airport:
Follow the N2 towards Cape Town, and take the M6 exit onto Rhodes Drive. Turn right at the M63 exit towards Kirstenbosch. At the T-junction turn right towards Hout Bay. Take the 2nd exit at the roundabout following the M63 signed for Hout Bay. At the 3rd exit, right at the roundabout onto Victoria Ave. At the traffic lights turn left (Victoria Ave). Continue straight at the next round about and turn right at the 2nd roundabout towards the beach. Take the 2nd right onto Northshore Drive - we are immediately on the right.
From Cape Town:
Follow the M6 through Camps Bay and onto Victoria Road. Follow Victoria Road around the cliffs for 10km. Continue straight through the traffic lights. At the next round about continue straight and turn right at the 2nd roundabout towards the beach. Take the 2nd right onto Northshore Drive - we are immediately on the right.
Catch a Taxi:
There are local taxis (kombis) that leave from Cape Town train station to Hout Bay. Get out at the Spar and walk along Victoria Road towards the beach. Turn right at the 2nd roundabout towards the beach. Take the 2nd right onto Northshore Drive - we are immediately on the right.
Catch The City Sightseeing Bus:
Our backpackers is conveniently located on the Blue Route of the Cape Town City Sightseeing Bus. Hop off at stop 23, Mariners Wharf and walk along the beach towards the dunes. Turn right up Northshore Drive. We are on the right almost straight away – you will see the Hout Bay Backpackers sign.
