A true gem in the bush. The Hideaway is a fabulous find. Well appointed and many little extras ( candles and watches), make for a relaxing stay. Would come back here for a peaceful stay in the bush. I do however recommend taking guided game drives as the reserve was trickier to navigate than expected for self driving.

Beautiful quiet place, very friendly, welcoming and helpful staff. The cabin allocated was very clean; clean warm bedding; & the kitchen cabin had all one needed and more, down to the matches one will need to light a fire in the private boma. I visited in winter would surely like to visit in summer.

We were pleasantly recieved by Cynthia who met us with a friendly smile and vast knowledge of the bush and the animal life. Friendly and efficient service. The lodge itself is beautiful, tranquil and rich with wildlife. Roads are well maintained, made the drive pleasant if not in an SUV. The private boma was a special plus for us. WiFi remained consistent with average network for calls. Housekeeping wasn't the greatest, beds were not fully made, it seemed lazy for a 4 star rating establishment. Found pillows on the floor even after cleaners had been in the cabin, didn't see housekeeper sweep the floors of our log cabin after spending 3 nights, shower heads need to be replaced, hot water and cold water pressure made it difficult to take a decent shower. Overall was a lovely trip and experience. Would definitely return and stay in the bigger log cabins. On our way out of the lodge we spotted some wildlife which was a treat indeed. We'll be back.

First time visit to Dinokeng and IKHYA LAMADUBE, very pleasantly surprised, exceeded my expectations!! The log cabin was clean and comfortable and in prime position to view passing animals as well as bird life. We will definitely be back!!

Accommodation was very clean and friendly helpful staff. Every thing you need was in the kitchen. Beautiful and peaceful scenery.

My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed the peacefulness of iKhaya Lamadube. We were warmly welcomed by the wonderful staff with drinks and refresher towels after the drive to the lodge. We stayed in the log cabin, which was perfectly cosy and well-equipped. The bathroom door didn't quite close properly. We loved the private boma for braaing and fires. Whilst we understand that there is as little light as possible to maintain the nature-y feel, it would be great to get a little more light there particularly for braaing at night. The game drive was fantastic, we saw many animals and the simple breakfast at the lookout point was lovely. Being a small lodge, with only couples, it was a perfect venue for ultimate relaxation. We felt almost as if we had the whole place to ourselves, even when lounging by the pool! I would highly recommend iKhaya Lamadube for a peaceful escape from the hustle and bustle of the city!
