Great experience

We had the most fantastic time. Food was excellent, staff helpful and friendly and place was very well maintained. Would definitely go back. Only suggestion I would have is to have a tv in the room but not a necessity.

For our first safari, we had the privilege of trying Ivory Tree. From arrival to departure, it was truly first class. Greeted by smiling helpful employees and given a light alcohol free drink as we checked in. The safari experience was the only thing better. Our guide, William, was a true gem. He had extensive knowledge of the bush, the animals, and a vast experience with giving visitors what they wanted. We had lions cross within feet of our car, multiple elephants, giraffe, rhinos and more wildebeest and bucks than you could imagine. My guess is it is a perfect "starter" safari, but we did encounter several people who had been there before. I'd highly recommend overnight stays as you then get the morning drive which also resulted in a distant spotting of cheetahs. The food and service at the lodge are also noteworthy. Then there's the rooms. You have your own private one bedroom lodge hut. No television which really isn't necessary anyway. A mosquito net is pulled around the bed. You have private outdoor porch which occasionally has "visitors" at your feet. The outdoor shower is really nice and the soaking tub is elegant. If you go for 2-nights before the end of September, they also have a price discount. So worth it!
