This residence provides exceptional privacy and tranquility, offering access to expansive private farmland ideal for walking, cycling, birdwatching, and spotting small game. Renowned for its breathtaking sunset views, it stands as one of the premier locations on the river. Designed to accommodate one to three families, the spacious holiday house comfortably sleeps up to eight adults and four children. It features six well-appointed bedrooms, including a dedicated children's room, and three bathrooms. The main bedroom, located on the ground floor, boasts a queen-size bed, a cozy lounge area with a fireplace, a walk-in dressing room, and an en-suite bathroom equipped with a corner bath, shower, toilet, washbasin, and bidet. Upstairs, guests will find four additional bedrooms: the second bedroom has a double bed, the third offers a queen-size bed, while the fourth and fifth bedrooms each contain double beds. The sixth bedroom, specifically designed for children, features two single beds and a bunk bed. The upstairs rooms share a bathroom that includes both a bath and a shower, along with a toilet and washbasin. There is also a separate outside room that was originally intended as domestic quarters. This space is perfect for a teenager seeking independence or an elderly parent who prefers to avoid stairs; it includes a single bed and an en-suite shower, toilet, and washbasin. An inviting upstairs TV lounge is equipped with a television and DVD player, along with a selection of DVDs and board games for family entertainment. Guests can connect to DStv if they bring their own smart card. For those needing internet access, uncapped Wi-Fi is available for an additional fee. The fully equipped kitchen caters to all self-catering needs, featuring two fridge-freezers, an extra fridge, a dishwasher, washing machine, tumble dryer, microwave, kettle and toaster. The downstairs lounge offers comfortable seating and a fireplace, while the dining area includes an eight-seater table. This dining space opens onto a large covered patio, which hosts a twelve-seater table, a four-seater wine barrel table with stools, additional seating, and a built-in braai equipped with two potjie pots. The thatched roof serves as a natural insulator, maintaining a cool atmosphere during the hot summer days and providing warmth on chilly winter nights. Surrounded by 22.5 hectares of land, which was formerly a working farm for raising baby ostriches, this property also serves as one of the standby landing areas for the SS Kadie as it awaits favourable tides during its journey to Malgas.
