That Phalaborwa never gets cold is something of a euphemism to describe the intense heat that can grip the modern, copper mining town, situated just 3 kilometres from the Kruger National Park, during summer in particular. From Hoedspruit Airport:
1. Head southeast for 180 m.
2. Slight right toward Koedoe St and continue for 140 m.
3. Turn right onto Koedoe St and drive for 500 m.
4. Turn left onto R527 and continue for 550 m.
5. Turn left onto Klaserie Rd/R40 and follow R40 for 62.9 km.
6. Turn right and drive for 7.2 km.
7. Turn left onto Potgieter St and continue for 350 m.
8. Potgieter St turns left and becomes Kiaat St.
9. Turn right onto Hendrik Van Eck St/Phalaborwa-Giyani/R71 and follow R71 for 2.7 km.
10. Continue straight to stay on R71 for 1.0 km.
11. Turn right and drive for 800 m.
12. Slight right and continue for 1.3 km.
13. Turn left and you will find the entrance to Units 425 and 310 Hans Merensky Golf Estate, Phalaborwa.
