We had a lovely stay. It was peaceful and quiet which is what we wanted. Amazing scenery. The cottage was neat and clean and private. The wood-fired hot tub was excellent. The indoor fireplace worked very well. Gravel roads cater for mountain biking. There are a few hiking trails. 10 out of 10. The road to the farm was in good condition. Thanks to the friendly hosts.

We had a lovely stay at Kingfisher cottage's The beds were comfortable, the house was well thought out with everything you could need. For me the most important, the cottage was sparkling. I was able to walk barefoot and my feet stayed clean. This is most important for me. Thank you for taking the time to ensure cleanliness Marco gave us a very informative talk about the trout farm where they raise quality trout. He also explained the reason for the Eco cottages and the interesting eco loos, I must say the loo takes a little getting used to. But all said and done it was one of my favourite stays so far and we will definitely be back.

Absolutely breathtaking experience! The Cottage is lovely, fully kitted and everything works. The destination is a one of a kind “immerse in nature” setting. The wood-fired hot tub under the stars at made the stay even more special. Great service, we will definitely be back!

It was a wonderful and peaceful stay. Our cottage was behind the owners but still felt very secluded. The owners were very friendly and accommodating. Had a couple of friendly visits from the dog as well. The gravel road going up was bit rough and not recommended for small cars.

We had an an absolutely fabulous few days at Kingfisher cottages. We were very comfortable in our cottage and enjoyed the views and the walks and the stars and really enjoyed the eco pool where we spent most hot afternoons. Marco and Vivian have created something very special and I can imagine it's been a real labour of love. We do hope to be back again maybe in winter to enjoy the hot tub!

What a pleasure to stay in this beautiful cottage in this peaceful and tranquil setting! The hosts were amazing and we enjoyed every minute. Great trails to go explore for the more adventurous, fully off-grid and in beautiful surroundings.

Our stay at kingfisher was anything but ordinary! It was absolutely amazing and so far in isolation it's bliss!! The drive to the cottage is adventurous but definitely worth it when you arrive at the beautiful cottage. Beyond the natural beauty, Kingfisher Cottage and the stillness of this little hideaway have found a special place in my heart. The unpolluted magical night sky, the raw beauty of the rolling hills and the personal touch by Vivian all contributes to an amazing break from the city. A much needed getaway for myself and Graeme. And the trout ... delicious!! We will definitely be back.

This family run farm is a wonderful place to stay, With its trout breeding, hiking trails, the home grown vegetables and the comfortable cottage we had a really great and relaxing weekend. We´d love to come back soon.

We spent two wonderful days on the farm, loved it, dogs loved it. Cottage was nice with big room and fireplace and a nice big firepit outside to sit under the stars. Highly recommended.

What a hidden gem! My husband and I had a very comfortable stay with our fur child too! Vivian and Marco run a friendly farm with lots to offer. We did both hikes, the rock pools were amazing and leopard trail was an easy climb through a river bed to view a tree covered in scratches by leopards. There is a specactuar sunset view point, perfect for sundowners They farm fresh trout which is a real treat! We'd love to visit again :)

It was great finding a place where we could stay and go hiking with our dogs! The owners were friendly, helpful and very knowledgable about the area, wildlife, birds and it was amazing to see them running an off-the-grid trout farm. We could even buy freshly baked rusks and bread on the farm - very handy since the farm is quite a drive from town. The private braai/boma area is just that: private. The cottage is charming and just the right size. It has a fireplace which we're sure will be great in winter. The landscapes are breathtaking and just what we needed to forget about work and life in the big city. The road to the farm is a dirt road but it is in very good condition and can be driven on by any car. We would definitely recommend this establishment.

We are happy that we chose Langhoogte Farm as we wanted to be close to nature to have our peace and quite. We were finally able to completely switch off, something we weren't able to do for a long time before that. There was something very magical waking up every morning and breathing in the fresh crisp air. The hosts were some of the most welcoming and friendly people we ever came across. They were full of helpful information regarding the surroundings and especially the wildlife. We are already planning our next stopover there and we will make it a regular stop for our South-Africa holidays.
