We hadn't heard about Sunland either, but then any town so ideally placed in the nook of the Greater Addo Elephant Park would vanish into obscurity too, if you gave it half a chance. Although Sunland, on the strength of its name alone, does not. It even has its own annual Citrus Carnival, usually in August, to prove it. From Cape Town
Follow N2 to Port Elizabeth. Staying on N2, bypass Port Elizabeth in direction of Grahamstown, approximately 15 km. Turn left off N2 onto R335 at sign for Motherwell and Addo Elephant Park. Travel ± 45 km from here to Addo Village. Cross railway line, turn left onto R336 towards Kirkwood, ± 8.4 km from here to turn-off at Sunland.
At Sunland (school on left) look for “Lupus Den B&B” sign with “The Look Out” sign below it. Next sign indicates “Tregaron” to the right.
Follow this road by turning right at shop on the corner – before railway line. ± 9 km from here to “Lupus Den” travel on tar to irrigation canal (3 km).
Cross onto gravel road – do not turn right, carry on up the hill – follow signs for Lupus Den B&B. (6 km). Turn left at “Lupus Den B&B” sign and ring bell for B&B at gate. Follow B&B signs either for Garden Cottage or Homestead.
