Breakfast was more than satisfactory. Stairs a challenge if you have a large heavy bag.

It is very quaint guesthouse with a beautiful view of the sea in the distance but not too far (within walking distance). Staff are very helpful and will do anything to make your stay as comfortable as possible. Also knowledgeable about the area, where to go and the restaurants. Thoroughly enjoyed ou stay! Will definitely go back there!!

Very friendly staff and very nice rooms. The breakfast was absolutely top notch - we couldn't finish the food. The stairs to the upstairs area is very steep and not comfortable to climb and especially descend, if not for this the review would be excellent.

We stayed at Mermaid Guest house in June 2010 for 9 nights. We felt welcomed from the moment we arrived, and Asthore and Andre were fantastic hosts. Asthore checked in with us everyday to see if we were still happy. Traveling with 2 toddlers can be daunting, and we were never made to feel that our children were a burden or nuisance. All the staff were friendly and would go out of their way to make your stay pleasant. We will definately stay at Mermaid Guest house again, when we are in the Struisbaai area.
