A mere hour's drive from Cape Town brings one to a giant granite outcrop with three rounded domes, the prominent one of which was initially called Peerleberg or Pearl Mountain by Abraham Gabemma. Take the N2 SOMERSET WEST then left on the R300 DURBANVILLE-BELLVILLE at the end of this road follow N1 PAARL (read: where to go from here).
From George and Mosselbay
Take the N2 exit R44 Stellenbosch. Follow R44 to KLAPMUTS-WELLINGTON and turn right on the N1 to PAARL (read: where to go from here).
Where to go from here:
Exit 62 A SONSTRAALPAD/ROAD. (travelling in the direction of Cape Town take Exit 62) Pass 2 stop streets, (BP petrol station on your left) continue strait on, the road goes slightly up and makes a turn to the left. After 2km turn right into SWAWELSTERTPAD, continue till the end (3.5 km), you will reach a T-junction. Turn right and follow road in an elbow to the left. At the fork you take the right dirt road. On this dirt road you take the first to the left and then the first to the right = follow the Mooi Bly signs. Code of the gate is 11-22-33.
From Wellington
Take the R301/303 from Wellington to Paarl. From the T-junction with the R44 you have to drive for 1.7 km towards Paarl. Turn left into Bo Dal Pad/Road. Follow this dirt road for 2.6 km and turn left. Mooi Bly is the first estate at your left. Code of the gate is 11-22-33.
