Join the N12 towards Witbank
N12 joins the N4 at Witbank and continue to Belfast
At Belfast take the R540 to Dullstroom and Lydenburg
Continue through Lydenburg and towards Ohrigstad along the R36
Pass through the Abel Erasmus Pass and through the JG Strydom Tunnel towards Hoedspruit along the R527. Go through Hoedspruit town over the railway bridge
After this bridge the R527 will intersect with the R40 at a 4 way stop. Continue straight (to the left would be Phalaborwa / Mica and to the right would be White River / Wit Rivier / Klaserie
From the 4 way stop where you will continue straight towards the Airforce Base it is about 600 metres to the T-junction
At the T-junction turn left the sign says Drakensig and drive for about 200 metres
Turn right onto a dirt road (follow Jejane / Nyala signs)
Continue on this dirt road for another 200 metres and take the road to the right (Jejane / Nyala)
From here it is another 200 metres to the railway crossing
You will now travel between the railway line on your left and a fence on your right. From the railway crossing to the Jejane gate is about 4km. (10 minutes)
At the Jejane gate you sign in and continue along the fence (on your right) and follow the Nyala signs - Do not turn off stay with the fence on your right hand side and the Air strip on your left.
Distance from gate to Air strip 8kms. Follow the Nyala signs from here to the lodge
At the Wind sock turn right at the hangar - pass a concrete dam on your left and then veer right
Follow the small Nyala sign through the usually dry river bed until passing a pump house on your left. At the next intersection, turn left and the Nyala camp is a few hundred metres further.

From Klaserie / Hazyview / Acornhoek / Orpen / Eastgate airport:
Travel towards Hoedspruit - TOTAL filling station on left and then the 4 way stop
Turn right at this stop and follow directions from here to the T-junction.
From Orpen gate:
Out of the gate travel straight with the R531 for about 40km
At the T-junction turn right
Travel for about 2km then turn right towards Hoedspruit / Eastgate Airport
Travel towards Hoedspruit - TOTAL filling station on left and then the 4 way stop
Turn right at this stop and follow directions from here to the T-junction which is about 600 metres
At the T-junction turn left and drive for about 200 metres
Turn right onto a dirt road (follow Jejane signs)
Continue on this dirt road for another 200 metres and take the road to the right (Jejane)
From here it is another 200 metres to the railway crossing
You will now travel between the railway line on your left and a fence on your right. From the railway crossing the gate is about 4km
At the Jejane gate you can sign in and continue along the fence - follow the Nyala signs.

Note
Please stick to the fence once in the reserve - there are two termite hills where you have to go around them but go back to the road next to the fence. Please also be careful as at some places the road is very narrow next to the fence - be aware of the hooks of the electric fence on the ground.
