Warm atmosphere. Pleasant and helpful staff, but could do with some updating.

It was a disappointment. The guy who checked us in had no interest in us. The only wine available by the glass was boxed wine! The menu was limited and the food average. Fortunately the pub opposite was excellent - as was the Pizza place.

Had a wonderful relaxing time and visited all the watering holes a friendly place with lots of history. the food was fantastic and very good value. love the place, wife and i will be back -soon

We felt very welcome from the moment we arrived and were especially thankful for the special arrangements made for our busy 18-month-old son. The en-suite accommodation (room 2) was a perfect combination of old country-house feel with all the modern amenities you'd expect from a good hotel or B&B. Great value for money too.
