When traveling North from Durban: Pass the towns of Empangeni, Mtubatuba, Hluhluwe, 39km past Mkuze, turn right onto the Golela (Swaziland Border Post) road. Travel up a hill for 2km and turn left at the Shayamoya entrance gate and follow the road to Reception. It is clearly signposted from the N2.
When traveling South from Johannesburg: The route is through (N17 fromJHB, or N4 from Pretoria) Bethal, Ermelo, Piet Retief, 27km past Pongola, turn left onto the Golela (Swaziland Border Post) road. Travel up a hill for 2km and turn left at the Shayamoya entrance gate and follow the road to Reception. It is clearly signposted from the N2.
When traveling South from Kruger Park, Crocodile Bridge: The quickest route is through Swaziland using the Mananga, border post. Continue south towards Big Bend, to Lavumisa border post. From here, travel for only 8 km into KwaZulu Natal, turn right at the Shayamoya entrance up on the hill.
