we did enjoy our stay. We where welcomed by die owner and he did show us the place. He explained how eveverything works. The place is unique and is next to a stream where you can hear the water kabbeling. Their where an outside shower with warm and cold water fantastic. There whwere a dam where you can feed and see trout and bass. There are hiking routes inthe forest and wild buck to be seen. While you sit on the stoep, you coukd hear and see lot of birds. The shire have everything you need to cook. The bathroom have a basin, toilet and big shower, Enough sitting space and the bed was soft and we slept very well. Good ventiltion. fan, heater and extra kombers was supplied. the area is well maintaind, lawn cut and lovely view. We had a lovely braai at the fireplace, rooster en borsel was supplied. Free wood for fire . i will defintly go agian. fantastic.

What an amazingly serene getaway to a beautiful place. With nature on your doorstep, the private cabins at the Shire are magical in themselves and wonderfully close to a lush natural landscape that can keep you entertained and enchanted for days.

The Shire has everything and more that is needed and expected. The venue itself is unique in that you are in the foothills of the Amatola forest, the views are spectacular, the evenings are extremely quiet and are thus able to sleep peacefully and rest well The host, Rob Scott was excellent, he was always on hand and willing to assist and answer any queries We will certainly be visiting the area again and will only stay that the Shire Thank you for a wonderful stay Robbie and Kelly Stone
